This safari is based on those who would love to experience a Kruger Park safari but have a limited budget. Accommodation is in basic units without bathrooms en-suite and game drives in Open Safari Vehicles are limited to two drives a day one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Day 1: Johannesburg - Kruger Park
You will be collected from your Johannesburg Hotel between 06h00am and 07h00am and no later than 07h00am from OR Tambo Airport, we make our way to Nelspruit to meet up with your guide and change to your open safari vehicle and then be on your way to the Kruger National Park. On arrival at your camp time to have lunch and check into your accommodation, before departting on your first game drive till gate closing. Return to camp time to relax before dinner is served. Your guide shall update you on times and venue.
Day 2: Kruger National Park
The day starts early in the Kruger National Park depending on the time of the year. It is always good to be out and about as early as possible in order to still find the cats on the prowl before the heat of the day. Breakfast is had at either your camp where you are staying or at one of the many picnic areas found in the park.
After breakfast, we continue our game viewing, stopping off at water holes, following river lines, making our way back to camp during the heat of the day in summer October to April allowing you to relax, swim, read your book or enjoy a siesta. In winter we are able to stay out a bit longer May to September. We depart once again three hours before sunset for our afternoon safari, returning to camp before gate closing time. Dinner is enjoyed in the restaurant.
Day 3: Kruger National Park
This morning once again you will be departing early from camp for your game drive, watching the sunrise over the African plains in search of the Big 5. We return to camp mid-day for a siesta or time to relax at the swimming pool. We will depart once again depart mid - afternoon for your game drive till the sun sets when we return to camp for dinner.
Day 4: Kruger Park – Johannesburg
The last morning's open game viewing drive departs at gate opening time, enjoying breakfast in the outdoors, before departing at 10h00am and making our way slowly out of the park. We return to Johannesburg at 16h00pm or you can be dropped at Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for your onward journey.
Drop-off will be at any Hotel or Guesthouse in Johannesburg and Pretoria or alternatively back to the Airport.
